Varadero is presented here as a version for piano and cello, shaped by long lines, sustained resonance, and a sense of unhurried space. The cello adds depth and continuity to the piano’s harmonic landscape, allowing the music to breathe through gentle motion and tonal warmth.
This composition later appeared in an alternative version for solo piano, released as part of the album Painted Piano. While the musical material remains unchanged, the absence of the cello shifts the focus toward intimacy and internal balance, revealing a more solitary and introspective character.
