Three Marias is presented here in its version for strings, unfolding through long lines, blended timbres, and a carefully controlled sense of space. The ensemble functions as a single, continuous texture, allowing harmonic weight and subtle internal motion to guide the piece without emphasis on individual voices.
This composition later appeared in an alternative version for piano and cello, released as part of the album Piano and Cello Junction. While the musical material remains unchanged, the shift in instrumentation transforms the piece from a collective, atmospheric surface into a more exposed and dialog-driven form, redefining its balance and internal tension.
