The composition begins with a calm, introspective opening before gradually unfolding into a richer and more animated musical journey. Expressive melodies pass naturally between the five string instruments, while changing textures and subtle shifts in colour create a continuous sense of movement and discovery.
Rather than portraying a specific place or moment, the music captures the way memories evolve over time. Familiar melodic ideas return in new harmonic settings, balancing moments of lyrical intimacy with passages of growing energy and momentum. Throughout the piece, melody remains the central voice, supported by a harmonic language that moves freely between tonal stability and gentle ambiguity.
